About us

Trionplas Technologies GmbH is a spin-off of the Leibniz Institute of Surface Engineering (IOM) in Leipzig. It was founded in 2017 by five scientists with a background in ultra-precise surface modification by ion and plasma beams.

Foundation of Trionplas Technologies GmbH

Trionplas Technologies GmbH was founded in Leipzig as a spin-off of the Leibniz Institute of Surface Engineering (IOM). The company specialises in the development, production and sale of optical elements as well as related services and products. We also offer consultations.

Free-form manufacturing

Using the innovative plasmajet technology, we started production of optical free form elements made from quartz glass.

IQ Innovationspreis Mitteldeutschland 2018

Trionplas Technologies GmbH is awarded the IQ Innovationspreis Mitteldeutschland 2018 (Prize money 7.500 €). We received this prize in recognition of the innovative plasmajet technology for the production of optical elements.

Trionplas Technologies GmbH is awarded the local IQ Innovationspreis presented by the city of Leipzig
(prize money 5.000 €).

Directions

Arrival by car

Please leave the A14 at Junction Leipzig Nordost and drive in the direction of city centre on Torgauer Strasse. Alternatively leave the motorway at junction Leipzig Ost in the direction of city centre on Permoserstrasse. The entrance to the Science Park is located in Permoserstrasse 15.

Arrival by plane or train Please book a flight to the airport Leipzig-Halle and take a taxi to the Science Park Permoserstrasse (about 30 Euro). Alternatively take the train RE5 toward Leipzig Main station. RE5 offers an hourly service from the airport to the city centre. At Leipzig Main Station please make your way to tram station platform 2 where you can use tram lines 3 (direction of Taucha) and 3E (direction Sommerfeld). Please exit the tram at the Permoser/Torgauer Strasse Stop. Travel time main station <> Science Park is approximately 12 minutes/7 stops. After getting off the tram, cross the Torgauer Strasse to the right and walk along Permoserstrasse where you will find the entrance to the Sciene Park on your left. Please report to reception where the porter will give you a map of the science Park. You can find us in building 38.0.
